Meet Bolinha, an 80-pound stray dog from western Brazil.

Bolinha's obesity left him immobile and with serious breathing issues. "Without any portion control and little to no exercise, a dog will just keep putting on weight," Jeff Coffin, a veterinary technician at the Animal Hospital of Chelsea in New York City, tells BuzzFeed Life.

Bolinha lived outside of a gas station where the locals constantly fed him scraps of food, according to Little Things.
