All of Alex Monroe's jewellery is inspired by the English countryside – so think fine, delicate pieces with textured outdoorsy touches. I love this simple pearl ring, and the birds and nest ring, £150 would be particularly sweet for two love birds.

Tiny Diamond Oxidised Silver and Gold Ring, £125
I love this ungirly ring by Ed Helien studio. Czech designer (but now based in Newcastle) Anna Rei's work is primarily in silver, but she experiments in gold too. Think textured, rough-around-the-edges rings that still have a dainty heart.
Ruby and Diamond Ring, £149
This Birmingham-based Etsy shop has a lovely range of vintage rings, with fabulous photography too (always a bonus). Their stock tends to be on the flashier side (like this whopper (£99)), but this ruby and diamond gem is wonderfully classy.
Also, judging by the reviews, they're especially helpful answering questions about engagement rings.
Black Diamond Gold Pair Ring, £95
I love everything that i + i create, and this delicate black diamond ring is too perfect. Prefer a brighter pop? Try the emerald and ruby version. And if you push your budget a little higher, this diamond crescent moon ring (£195) is beautiful.
