After the news broke, there were initially concerns about whether Lee was being exploited or not because of her health and state of mind, but an investigation by the state of Alabama found no evidence of fraud.

Go Set a Watchman was reportedly written before To Kill a Mockingbird. The story takes place 20 years after everything that happens in the first installment, and is about the homecoming of Scout.
