Forget ~sexy cop~... I'm going to show you how to make the sexiest Halloween costume for 2015: The Burrito.

It's also comfy AF.

Lauren Zaser / BuzzFeed Life

- Mattress topper or thin foam
- Muslin or another tortilla-colored fabric
- Heavy-duty Velcro
- Craft foam in a variety of colors (for the fillings)
- Stapler
- Hot glue gun
- Pencil/pen
- Silver wrapping paper
- Great Stuff Gaps & Cracks filler (available at hardware stores)
- White acrylic paint
- Headband

Instructions

Instructions

1. Wrap the foam around yourself so it crosses over itself in the front, and have a friend roughly sketch out where the arm holes should go with a sharpie.

2. Cut the arm holes out of the foam using a utility knife and try the foam, aka the tortilla, back on on to confirm they are in the right spots.

3. The costume will be very bulky at this point. To get a more comfortable and ~elegant~ shape, find spots on the back where you can pinch the foam together and staple it together so it's more fitted. (All of this will eventually be covered with fabric.) Also mark (or have a friend mark) places on the bottom or sides of the costume where you can trim off excess material.

4. Once you've trimmed it down and are happy with the shape of the tortilla, take it off and use hot glue to cover it with muslin. Be sure to fold the muslin over the edges of the foam so the outside edges look nice and smooth.

5. Cut out the arm holes from the muslin, leaving about an inch of fabric that you can tuck inside the foam holes and glue down.

6. Create your fillings out of craft foam and attach them to the inside of the tortilla using hot glue.

7. Put the costume on, position the front flap where you want it, and mark the spot lightly with a pencil. Take the costume off and hot glue the front flap down so the burrito is now totally closed.

8. Flip the costume over and cut a line up the entire back of the costume (including the fillings), creating a new flap. Attach heavy-duty Velcro the entire length of this new flap. (Note: if you're using stick Velcro, you'd be wise to reinforce it with hot glue.)

9. Wrap the bottom half of the costume in silver wrapping paper and attach it with hot glue. (Make sure you don't cover the back flap with the wrapping paper or you'll end up a prisoner in your costume.)

10. To make the sour cream head piece, I squirted dollops of Great Stuff Gaps & Cracks filler onto paper plates, let them dry, painted them white, let them dry again, and then glued them to a headband. For a far less toxic/messy option, you could make the head piece from batting using this tutorial.

In the summer of 2014, I was struck by a crazy idea: I wanted to make a Guess Who? couples costume for Halloween.

And not just the simple Guess Who? costume that people have been doing for a while... but one with wearable game boards. And moveable pieces.

It was ambitious, sure, but Halloween is My Thing so I figured I could find a way.

Eighteen months later I'm happy to report that I did, in fact, find a way.

Eighteen months later I'm happy to report that I did, in fact, find a way.

The first challenge I faced was making the game pieces, but that seemed doable. The major real challenge was figuring out how to make the boards wearable. After struggling to figure out how to attach straps to thin boards and then make the oversized boards stay balanced, I finally had a breakthrough: I should model the boards/straps after a popcorn vendor costume. I called my mom (as I'm wont to do when faced with a costume construction dilemma), made a few sketches, stood in line at Michaels for approximately 90 minutes, sprinted through Home Depot, and then got to work.

13 Japanese Horror Manga That Will @#$%&! You Up

These stories aren’t creepy. They’re traumatizing.

A word of warning… most of these books are really unsettling, but also pretty difficult to get a hold of. Only those with strong hearts should google each of these horror manga to read more about them and find translations of the stories online.
